Dog Co. 101 is a reward-based program designed to build real-life skills for adolescent & adult dogs, helping them become calm, capable & confident everyday. Whether your dog is easily distracted, overly excited, or still learning how to navigate the world, these classes provide clear guidance and practical structure to support lasting progress.
Dog Co. 101 supports owners as much as their dogs. You’ll develop skills to communicate clearly, understand behaviour & guide your dog in a way that feels calm, consistent & achievable.

Open to vaccinated dogs aged 4 months and over.
Introductory offer - $200 (discounted from $250) A limited number of spots are available at this rate for May intake.

The program runs for six consecutive weeks, one hour per week. Week 1 is an information session for people only, covering learning theory, training foundations and practical guidance on the early essentials - so you and your dog are set up for success from the very first session they attend. From Week 2, dogs join for practical learning.

From Week 2 you'll need your dog on a flat collar or harness, small high-value food rewards, a food pouch or waist bag, a favourite toy, and a small bed or mat for your dog. A what-to-bring list, including guidance on food rewards, will be provided at Week 1.

Yes, the program includes foundation obedience exercises, plus much more.

Make-up classes aren't available, but you won't miss out entirely - written notes from that session will be sent to you by email so you can keep up between classes.

Dog Co. 101 is $250 for the six-week program. An introductory rate of $225 is available for a limited number of spots in the May intake. To reserve your spot, submit the booking request form above. Our dog classes are held in Torquay, with additional class locations planned for the future as our training community grows. We welcome dogs and their people from everywhere across the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula and Greater Geelong, including Jan Juc, Anglesea, Armstrong Creek, Grovedale, Highton, Waurn Ponds and all surrounding areas.
